“I began painting in an effort to learn to see”. 

“Short Stories from the Heart: Spaces…Places…Memories…& Dreams”  is a journey through my adventures in seeing.

My works offer glimpses of everyday life with an intimacy I call emotion of the ordinary.  The beauty of old buildings, views of the open road, glimpses of nature, tender human moments and excursions into the absurd,  are all subjects that fascinate me. 

My inspiration comes as something catches my eye. What am I seeing? If a story begins steeping in my mind that wants telling. What is it?  How can I bring visual voice to an emotion I'm feeling?  When my mind’s eye is captivated, I’m ready to paint.
